01Who is responsible for your data

02What we collect

Account and contact data — name, email address, telephone number, organisation, role, and preferred language.

Farm and agricultural data — farm location and type, size, crops and varieties, planting dates and growth stages, soil and water test results, irrigation and treatment history, environmental readings, plant photographs and your own written observations.

Consultation data — the problem you describe, media you upload, the professional assigned, inspection findings, reports and follow-up records.

Transaction data — services purchased, amounts, and payment status. Card details are handled by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.

Technical and usage data — IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and interactions with the Platform.

Communications — messages you send us and records of support requests.

03Why we use it

To create and administer your account and to provide the Platform.

To match a consultation request to a suitable agricultural professional, and to enable that professional to prepare for and carry out the work.

To generate analyses, recommendations and explanations, and to show you the inputs behind them.

To process payments and meet accounting and tax obligations.

To provide support, to secure the Platform and to prevent fraud and misuse.

To improve the Platform, including improving our models — see "Farm knowledge" below.

To send service messages, and marketing only where you have opted in.

04Legal basis

We process personal data on the basis of performing our contract with you, your consent where we ask for it, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Platform, and compliance with legal obligations.

05Farm knowledge and how it informs recommendations

One of MAZRA’s aims is to turn verified observations and consultation outcomes into structured agricultural knowledge that improves guidance for everyone.

We will use your farm data for that purpose only where you have given specific consent, or where the data has been aggregated or de-identified so that it no longer identifies you, your farm or its location.

We do not publish farmer identities, farm locations or consultation records. Where the website or app shows ecosystem-level maps or statistics, they are built only from data users have permitted us to share, or from de-identified aggregates.

You can withdraw consent for this use at any time; withdrawal does not affect knowledge already de-identified and incorporated.

06Automated processing

Recommendations are generated automatically from the data available to us. They are decision support, not decisions that produce legal effects for you.

Where a recommendation matters, we show the inputs behind it so you can judge it. You can ask a human to review any analysis, and you can request a second professional opinion where that service is available.

07Who we share it with

Agricultural professionals assigned to your request — limited to what they need to advise you properly.

Service providers acting on our instructions — hosting, storage, analytics, communications and payment processing — under contract and confidentiality obligations.

Laboratories and partners where you have asked us to arrange testing or a related service.

Authorities, regulators or advisers where we are legally required to disclose, or to establish or defend legal claims.

A buyer or successor if the business is reorganised or sold, subject to this policy.

We do not sell personal data.

08International transfers

Your data may be processed outside the UAE by our service providers. Where it is, we take steps required by UAE law to ensure an adequate level of protection, including contractual safeguards. {{LIST HOSTING REGIONS AND TRANSFER MECHANISM}}

09How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account is active and for {{RETENTION PERIOD}} afterwards. Consultation records and transaction records are kept for {{RETENTION PERIOD}} to meet legal, accounting and professional obligations. Technical logs are kept for {{RETENTION PERIOD}}.

De-identified and aggregated data may be kept indefinitely, as it no longer identifies you.

10Security

We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege access for staff and assigned professionals. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Where a personal data breach is likely to cause you harm, we will notify you and the competent authority as required by law.

11Your rights

Subject to UAE law you may request access to your data; correction of inaccurate data; deletion; restriction of or objection to processing; a portable copy; and withdrawal of consent where processing relies on it.

To exercise any of these, write to contact@mazraagri.com. We will respond within the period required by law. You also have the right to complain to the UAE Data Office.

12Cookies and analytics

13Children

The Platform is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

14Changes

We may update this policy. Where a change is material we will give notice through the Platform or by email, and update the date shown at the top of this page.
